small details, specifications

sometimes I've learned very specific small-detailed details/specifications in a certain medical specialty that makes me wonder if it matters if I eventually decide to work in primary care instead of specialty care. However, I think ... IT MATTERS... certain specifications may not matter much on a surface but it matters a lot in a pt I believe! The specific size of a lesion in the liver of pt may just need monitoring right now => that would be a relief for the pt! So, I'd say it matters!!!
